A Game of Fleeting Stories

Passing Moments is a minimalist, meditative storytelling exercise designed to be played anywhere, fitting entirely on a business card. The game invites players to engage with their surroundings, observe a single finite thing, and craft a brief story about it on the back of the card. Once the story is written, the player discards the card, releasing the moment into the world.

A hex grid of abstract prompts—such as Moving, Waiting, Fading, and Remaining—guides observation and interpretation, encouraging players to see everyday details through new perspectives. The goal is not to win but to become present, allowing stories to emerge and disappear like passing thoughts.
